Our operations in Canada will be shutting down, effective June 10th, 2025. We’ve included important FAQs to ensure a smooth transition:
When is Octopus closing in Canada?
Octopus tablets will stop working on June 10th. Your points and other account information will update a final time on June 10th.
What will happen to my tablet points and other earnings?
Your earnings will be available to cash out until July 10th. You will be able to cash out your available cash outs to a bank account or gift card until July 10th.
Will I be able to access my web Dashboard or Octopus Driver app after July 3rd? What happens if I don’t cash out by July 10th?
You will not be able to access your web Dashboard or Octopus Driver app after July 10th. If you do not cash out by July 10th you will be unable to cash out your remaining Octopus earnings.
I referred drivers to Octopus that haven’t yet received a tablet. What will happen to them?
Since we are closing our Canada market, all driver applications have been closed. These drivers will not receive an Octopus tablet.
What will happen to my tablet on July 10th?
Your tablet will be locked so it can no longer be used for Octopus or any other purpose.
How can I safely recycle my tablet?
We recommend visiting a local recycling center or electronics store to recycle your device.
Is Octopus still operating in the United States?
Yes! Octopus is available nationwide in the United States.
