Understanding which Uber rides earn Points
JourneyTV integrates your Octopus tablet and features that encourage better ratings and increased tipping. When you accept an Uber trip, Uber’s systems notify the Octopus tablet and provide a personalized JourneyTV experience. For every qualifying Uber ride you give, you earn 1.5 points.
While we have an agreement with Uber, certain rides are excluded from earning points. The following ride types do not count toward your points:
- Uber Shared / Pool rides
- Uber Teen rides
- Uber Guest rides
The tablet is unable to run JourneyTV during these rides; therefore, these rides do not register points.
