How do I turn off Emergency Alerts on my tablet?

Some Octopus tablets have Emergency Alerts enabled, which will cause your tablet to play a sound when an alert is activated in your area. 
 
If your tablet starts playing an Emergency Alert, you can immediately stop the alert sound by rebooting your tablet using the instructions below. 
 
To reboot your tablet and stop the alert sound playing, please hold the power button for 15 seconds until the tablet restarts.  
 
If the tablet is oriented with the buttons on the top left of the tablet, the power button will be the first button from the left and the volume down button will be the second button in the next set of buttons. Please refer to the pink circles in the following picture for which buttons to hold for 15 seconds.  

If Emergency Alerts are frequently triggering on your tablet, please contact our support team using the form below, and we’ll be happy to swap out your tablet for a new tablet that does not have Emergency Alerts enabled.
