First things first: The tablet camera is NOT used to film or take pictures of your passengers.
Think of the camera on the tablet as a motion sensor. It detects movement to determine if a human (instead of groceries, a dog, etc.) is in front of the tablet so we can tell advertisers whether their content has been viewed or not. It’s as simple as that! Check out an example below:

Here are a couple of other quick tips from the team:
- The Octopus tablet must be able to detect passengers in your rideshare vehicle.
- You are required to leave the camera uncovered at all times. The tablet will not be able to determine passenger trips completed and generate driver trip points.
