My tablet battery keeps dying.

The Octopus tablet should maintain a consistent or increasing battery level when it’s plugged in. If your tablet won’t hold a charge, please complete the following troubleshooting steps before contacting support:

Please note: Since the Octopus device is playing video and regularly downloading content, it does need to remain plugged in while you’re driving to stay charged up.

Step 1: Try using a different charging cable

Please attempt to charge your tablet using a different charging cable, if you have one on hand. When troubleshooting tablets in our office, we have found that many charging issues can be fixed with a replacement charging cable. If the metal piece on the charging cable that goes into your tablet or the cable itself is bent, it may prevent your tablet from charging properly:

If your tablet charges using a different cable, please let us know using the form below, and we’ll be happy to get you a new cable so your device can stay charged.

Step 2: Plug your tablet in inside your home

If your tablet charges when plugged into a wall outlet, there is likely a problem with the charging port that is being used to charge your device. If you are able to charge your device in a wall outlet at home, please let us know using the form below, and we can have a new charging port sent to you.

If your tablet will still not hold a charge after completing the above steps, please contact support using the form below.
