My tablet battery keeps dying.

The Octopus tablet should maintain a consistent or increasing battery level when it’s plugged in. If your tablet won’t hold a charge, please complete the following troubleshooting steps before contacting support:

Please note: Since the Octopus device is playing video and regularly downloading content, it must remain plugged in while you’re driving to stay charged up.

Step 1: Try using a different charging cable

Please attempt to charge your tablet using a different charging cable, if you have one available. When troubleshooting tablets in our office, we’ve found that many charging issues can be resolved with a replacement charging cable. If the metal piece on the charging cable that plugs into your tablet or the cable itself is bent, it may prevent proper charging.

If your tablet charges using a different cable, please let us know using the support form below, and we’ll be happy to send you a replacement cable.

Step 2: Plug your tablet in inside your home

If your tablet charges when plugged into a wall outlet, there is likely an issue with the charging port being used in your car. If you are able to charge your device in a wall outlet at home, please let us know using the support form below, and we can send you a new charging port.

If your tablet still will not hold a charge after completing the above steps, please contact support using the form below.
