My points aren't adding up for my Uber rides.
As of January 6th, 2026, you will only receive points when completing Uber JourneyTV trips.
To earn points with Octopus, you need to:
- Ensure your active Uber account is properly linked with Octopus. You need to link an active Uber account that is being used for passenger trips
- Drive with your tablet plugged in and turned ON for Uber trips
- Drive with your tablet mounted on the passenger headrest
To ensure you are receiving points for your Uber JourneyTV trips, please make sure the phone number/email we show for Uber under “Third Party Linked” accounts in the Octopus Driver app match your account info in the Uber app.
You can check this account info in the Uber app by doing the below:
- Click “Menu” bar (bottom right)
- Click “Settings” gear icon (top right)
- Under “Account” click “Manage Uber account”
- First screen will show your profile including your photo, name, and the email of your active Uber driver account.
You can check the Uber account that is linked with Octopus from the Third Party Accounts section. You can find instructions on how to find this here.
Please note: Your points earned with Octopus will update twice per day, once in the morning and once in the evening.
My points aren't adding up for Non-Uber rides (i.e Lyft).
As of January 6th, 2026, you will only receive points when completing Uber JourneyTV trips.
You must link an active Uber account to earn points for your Uber rideshare trips. This can be done at any time through the Octopus Driver app.
If you do not have an active Uber account, your tablet will continue to display the Octopus Experience for your riders, which includes fun games, live sports scores, and other interactive content.
